The Competence Centre

The Competence Center for the Automotive Industry is part of the School of Engineering, at Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Saltillo, located in the Northeast Region of Mexico. The focus of the Center is the Industry 4.0 topics and the objective is to foster and enhance the collaboration between the different campuses of the Tecnológico de Monterrey System, and the Automotive Industry Cluster located in the city of Saltillo, México. Initial capacities of the Center include Collaborative Robotics and Vision Systems.

The services offered by the Center are:

• Training for students, faculty, and industry with a Focus on Industry 4.0 competences.
• Provide continuing education service to the local industry.
• Promote tech transfer activities between industry and academia.
• Research and Development of Industry 4.0 initiatives.
• Attract funding to support projects that improve the capabilities of the automotive sector in the region.
